TEAM
BUILDING PROGRAMS
Below are a few examples of programs I have developed. The team building
exercises that I create are designed to encourage and nurture interaction, communication, trust, stretch, leadership, “on
your feet” thinking, excitement and fun. Any of these exercises can be based on universal themes that I will
provide or I can customize them to reflect your company’s current goals. Each exercise begins with the whole
group working together to set the stage for smaller group work. Smaller groups work together to create
their “boogie,” story, or mosaic and then come together to share their project with the larger group.
Each program concludes with a whole group discussion about the overall experience.
Rhythm
Boogie:
This team-building exercise is a combination of movement and music. Groups
create their own rhythm-based movement piece focused around a given theme, as well as their own rhythm-based music using a
variety of “user friendly” instruments such as drums, Kazoos, rhythm eggs, etc.
Once
Upon a Story:
This team-building exercise is a combination of storytelling and improvisation.
The participants work together to convey their story in a specific genre using a variety of required story elements
and adding their own sound effects. Think old-time radio show!
Mosaics:
Piece by Piece
This team-building exercise focuses on visual art. Groups design
a mosaic tile (foundation board) created around a theme, bringing their design to “life” piece-by-piece using
small pieces of colored and textured art papers.
